Selected scriptures from Esther.

Israel was being oppressed, even to the point of genocide.  Her enemies were strong and cunning.  God raised up a man named Mordecai and his adopted daughter named Esther as His instruments of deliverance.  They followed the Lord’s wisdom and walked in sacrificial courage.  Together, they were God’s mighty, unshakable people to defeat their enemies and free the Jewish people from destruction.  What can we learn from their lives to help us in the days ahead?
