Jesus regularly taught using parables.  They were an earthly story with a spiritual or heavenly meaning. His main message was  proclaiming the kingdom of heaven/God. The kingdom is mentioned 110 times in the New  Testament. This parable is about the challenges involved in changing from the old way of doing  things into the new and living way called “the kingdom of God.” When Jesus taught a parable  He did not give all the answers or full explanation. He wanted the people to think and seek out  the Lord for understanding. Let us look together at this parable and do what Jesus intended. Luke 5:36-39
