Angels Among Us

Have you ever seen an angel? I had the opportunity many years ago to lead my mother to the Lord. She, as a new Christian, began to see into the spiritual realm. A month after she accepted Jesus into her heart, she told me of an experience she had while visiting her mother. She had just climbed into bed when she saw a large, dark, hairy creature walk across the room. It scared her, but she cried out to Jesus, and the creature disappeared.

Several months later, she told me that when she prayed, she saw angels in the room. I have to admit that I was jealous. After all, I had walked with the Lord for many years, and I had never seen an angel

However, I recall a time when my husband and I were attending a Christian conference. We were crossing an intersection on a very busy street during the lunch break. When the light changed, I quickly stepped off the curb. A car ran the red light and was headed directly for me Suddenly, I felt two hands on my shoulders that pushed me back out of the way of the oncoming car. It missed me by a fraction of an inch! I did not see the angel, but he touched me! He intervened and saved me from being hit by the car.

Angels are among us! They watch over us, protect us, and minister to us. Over the years, I have experienced angels walking with me many times, even when I didn't realize it.

Hebrews 1:14 tells us that angels are sent by God to minister to those who will inherit salvation. That includes anyone who has accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior.
