Africa & Update from Pastor Tony

Greetings Church Alive family,

I am happy to report I am home from Africa. Thank you all very much for praying for me while I was gone. I
was joined by a man from Southern India named Dr. James Chaco. We tangibly experienced your prayers as we
saw the Holy Spirit poured out upon our times in Burundi and Rwanda. As we ministered at Church of the Living
God in Bujumbura Burundi, we saw people hungry for God. They filled the church building three times on Sunday
morning and overflowing again on Sunday evening. They worshipped with abandon as they ministered to the
Lord. He graced us with His strong presence. Miracles began to happen Sunday evening as we taught on The
Authority of Christ in every believer. Words of knowledge were released by the Holy Spirit. The result was a blind
eye was healed, a crippled man walked, a woman with a broken wrist and an unusable right hand was restored
completely, and a man with cirrhosis of the liver was cured. His horrible pain which he had for three years left
immediately! The Holy Spirit directed us to pray for people to receive the baptism with the Holy Spirit.
Approximately 200 people stood up to be filled. Immediately, many began to speak in tongues and prophecy.
Watching our gracious and powerful God was wonderful… almost beyond words.

We met several business leaders in our Kingdom Marketplace Seminar. They were eager to understand
and be equipped to take Jesus’ kingdom into the marketplace. Holy Spirit led discussions and strategies resulted.
We even had a member of parliament and someone from the president’s cabinet in our marketplace meeting.
As we trained pastors and key church leaders, we saw several deal with grudges and bitterness from past
genocides. Watching freedom and healing be poured out was marvelous. Our two-day teaching about planting
Joshua Nations Bible Schools was well received. We are in the beginning stages of building a national team to
blanket this nation with schools in the next 7-10 years. We had more interest than we can fill at this moment. Two
hundred plus want to enroll. We can begin with the first one hundred.

I became poignantly aware that many of you were praying for us. God answered and showed who He is to
many people. As I went, I knew many of you went with me and will indeed share the rewards as we stand before
Jesus one day. Thank you from my heart!

This coming Sunday, August 3rd is our church dedication. We will dedicate the people present and the
facility in our 11 am service. God has made a place for us to worship and pray together, grow in the word, become
equipped, and birth kingdom ministries in the days ahead. We are experiencing increasing outpouring of God’s
love and presence. Come and celebrate with us. After the morning service, we will enjoy a “come and go”
reception from 1-3 pm. There will be finger foods and desserts. We will give each person a ticket for draw
